Captain Clarence Oveur flies to the big airport in the sky
Peter Graves, best known for his work on "Mission Impossible" and "Airplane!" dies at 84. I'll miss him...I loved his work in both "Airplane!" movies, as well as an amazing role he did in the Angry Beavers Halloween special.

Say, Jimmy, do you like gladiator movies?
Now I gotta go dig out my copy of Airplane. Not a lot of serious actors can make the move to comedy as well as he did, and the world is a sadder place for his passing.
Roger Roger, Over Oveur, do we have clearance, Clarence?

What's your vector, Victor?
I probably wouldn't be able to watch any of his movies now and not laugh. =p

Re: Captain Clarence Oveur flies to the big airport in the sky
Simon: Gentlemen, I'd like you to meet your captain, Captain Oveur. Clarence Oveur: Gentlemen, welcome aboard. Simon: Captain, your navigator, Mr. Unger, and your first officer, Mr. Dunn. Clarence Oveur: Unger. Unger: Oveur. Dunn: Oveur. Clarence Oveur: Dunn. Gentlemen, let's get to work. Simon: Unger, didn't you serve under Oveur in the Air Force? Unger: Not directly. Technically, Dunn was under Oveur and I was under Dunn. Dunn: Yep. Simon: So, Dunn, you were under Oveur and over Unger. Unger: Yep. Clarence Oveur: That's right. Dunn was over Unger and I was over Dunn. Unger: So, you see, both Dunn and I were under Oveur, even though I was under Dunn. Clarence Oveur: Dunn was over Unger, and I was over Dunn.
But Who is still on first.
I just wish that some network still aired the old "Mission Impossible" series. Why not? I'd watch 'em!
Farewell Mr. Phelps

Re: Captain Clarence Oveur flies to the big airport in the sky
I didn't know until I read his obituary yesterday that he was James Arness' brother. Go figure, they both got their start in sci-fi movies about giant bugs.
Farewell, Mr. Graves. A&E Biography will be a lesser place without your reassuring voice.
