 Forumite Book 2
Well its looking to be just about that time when we're going to start with the second forumite book.
The price of admission will remain the same at $25 a character, but, to mix things up a tiny bit there will only be 100 pictures done (one for each page of the sketch book) that is not to say multiple characters can be in a single picture. You could have two characters in the picture at $50 and it would still only count as one picture from the total.
That said I think we have a few words from Swifty about how to get involved.

 Re: Forumite Book 2
…And this would be the all important follow-up post to Dave’s announcement. PAY ATTENTION! THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT! Follow these steps and all will go great. Ignore them and you’ll likely fall through the cracks. Step One: Send me ( swiftfox2@yahoo.com), (not Dave) your character descriptions and/or reference picture(s). A character ref sheet is fantastic, but if you don’t have one of those any previous drawing of your character is also great. If your character hasn’t been draws yet please give a brief, but detailed rundown of your characters appearance. You can use the following template as a guide: Name: (name of your character, obviously) Species: (again, self explanatory, but if it's a made-up species or a combination of two, make that known. Does your character have unusual body additions, like wings, an extra head, etc.? Go into detail) Sex: (given the strange nature of furrydom with its androgynous names and characters, don't assume the artist knows your character's sex) Fur color: (again, don't assume the artist knows what's in your head. If you have a specific fur pattern in mind, like you want your cheeks one color, your arms another, your tail another... etc., let her know) Clothes: (does he/she/shi/it wear anything at all?) Personality and demeanor: What type of physical expressions is your character likely to be communicating? Suggestions as to what you would be doing in the pic: Poses, simple actions, etc. Remember this is just a picture of your character, no background, setting, etc. Step Two: PAY UP! Send your payment to me, (not Dave). Paypal is preferred. My Paypal address is: swiftfox2@yahoo.com I can also take personal checks and cash sent to me by mail. If you require this method of payment please email me and I will give you the mailing address. Step Three: Once I have your character information and payment I will add you to the roster and send your information to Dave. At that point just keep an eye on the forum for when Dave posts the finished commissions. If you have any question, just email me and I’m sure I can answer them. If they are regarding the commission itself I will run it past Dave and get back to you. DO NOT CONTACT ME VIA PM*, INSTANT MESSAGE, COMMENT, ETC. ALL CORRESPANDENCE MUST BE THROUGH E-MAIL.*Note: I reply to everyone who has sends me something regarding signing up for the Forumite Book. If you send me something and don't hear back from me within a couple days then something likely went awry with the email. Spam filters, black holes, etc. If that's the case PM me here, or if you see me on AIM (unlikely), shout at me there and we'll figure something out.

Not really interested this time around, at least not until I get some cash flow. Got layed off again. HATE being unemployed during the holidays.

...should someone put up a sponsorship thread again? I sense many people who are low on cash but big on motivation to be in the book. Me being one of them. But I will see what I can scrape together after christmas.

Its a bad time of year for me to be splurging on commissions so I'm afraid I'm going to have to wait till after christmas and hope there are some spots left and I'm not broke from gifts and travel. I'd ask for sponsorship but IanD sponsored me last time so I'm going to let other people get the chance.

Well - I've already had the best rendition of myself and CW that I could ask for, in the previous book. Maybe it's time for another of my characters... >=)

Likewise... what's the time period on this, anyway? (Have to prepare compensation for sponsor, have to prepare character sheet, ect. Not that it won't be anything that you haven't seen before. XD)

 Re: Forumite Book 2
There are 100 pages in the book to be filled, either by one character alone, or two together. So far about 10 pages are spoken for and when FA comes back online Dave will make the announcement there as well. I suspect there will be a flurry of interest for a while before cooling down. So, that pretty means I have no idea, but I'd not waste time if I were you.

 Question to Swifty.
Hmm, last time you could take as many pages as you liked, ( within reason). I asume/hope that's still allowed? I've got another idea/character I'd like in...

Unfortunately, I can't play this round. ._. The BF lost his job almost 6 months ago, I think it was. I've been supporting me, him, a herd of cats and a crippled dog on my paycheck. I was lucky to have a boss who gave me 6 days a week, full hours to try and cushion the blow. He recently got employed a week ago and I need to gather as much funds as I can. I missed hanging out with y'all, though. Maybe the next go-around <3 Good luck, Dave :3

He does indeed have a rather adorable style. In fact the rendition he did of you, CW, Dave and Katie and Trixi and Tet is absolutely adorable. And the fact that you guys are all going at it like horny spidermonkeys doesn't make it any less cute.

 Reply to Yukifox.
No need to pay me back. I've thought about it and it doesn't seem quite fair to help two forumites for free and have you make me some art in return. Consider it a late Christmas gift, ( would have been on time if not for the crash and my vacation). I would still like the pictures through, so I'll just pay you for them like I did with the regular commissions.

You don't have to. XD I appreciate it, but as long as I've taken to get to them it's not a problem to make it a trade. (Though this last week I've been away from my capable computer at my Dad's, I just got back home yesterday.) I mean, it's up to you, but not necessary. *nods* And I hope my Misa-cat isn't too much of a problem for Dave. XD *ish weird* But then again, it's not like he wasn't expecting something like that. XD I'm pretty darn sure.

"He was so deadly, in fact, that his enemies would go blind from over-exposure to pure awsomeness!" - Poe (Kung Fue Panda) I thought that this quote might help express the sensation of pure epicness. Not only are the poses fantastic, but the colors are wonderfully vibrant and clean. My consolations to your poor red pen. Great job!

Gorgeous action and design on Voltage vs. Jack, Mr. Hopkins. So much movement in there and yet you kept the design tight, uncluttered, and it draws the eye through the entire piece. Bravo! Pure awesomeness, too.

 Re: Forumite Book 2
Well, that's 'cause Jack has an unfair advantage. As we learned from "Those Who Run," he can come back as many times as he likes. As for Adonosis... those wings have seen better days, boy.

 Voltage vs. Jack.
Agreed, although if we disregard that factor for a moment I'd say that it certainly looks like Voltage will give him a damn good run for his money. (I just love the picture by the way.)

Am I the only one who thinks Jack's cloak looks absolutely awesome in red? Was that Dave's idea, Baron, or yours?

 Re: Forumite Book 2
That was all Dave to say the least. The color palette alone is full of win. As for the outcome of who would win, I would say that it wouldnt be to see who could kill the other, but rather knowing the nature of the Character known as Voltage, that he would be vying for the right to BE wrath. Volt has always been a reluctant character from the get-go, until the arm and leg became sentient and the nanomachines within began to consume him, much how with Wrath, it starts off as an uncontrolled emotion to achieve a cathartic end, but is ultimately all encompassing and consuming to the person who experiences it till nothing is left. The INTENT of his limbs were to be put to use in order to exact revenge, and the endgame would be that his "soul" as it were, would appear as it did just before the limbs began to take over his existence, yet his MINDSET would have him with the false sense of entitlement. Much as how we all seek to surpass our Superior to earn the role, here we have Voltage, seeking to surpass the embodiment of Wrath itself, for the right to weild such power and strength, not to simply have it (that would be Greed), but to USE it. Once again Dave, you have managed to tell a story with a single image, and done so Beautifully!

It is pretty interesting to see all the different characters together like this, all drawn by the same person.

There should be a couple more coming from the last batch. For the current batch I'm working on, I've got about 14 slots open. So keep 'em coming and lets book this thing up!

 Re: Forumite Book 2
Jemima sweet mother of pancakes! Your rendition turned out even better than I could ever have imagined. Honestly, this work embodies awsomeness! You have managed to draw her so cleanly and beautifully while still conveying her character. Seriously, praying, contemplating or sleeping, all coincide with her personality. Fantastic work, Mr. Hopkins, and thank-you very, very much! Worth much more than the payment.

 Re: Forumite Book 2
I can´t explain why, but I really like it when patterns like stripes are drawn that way. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

 Re: Forumite Book 2
My first reaction upon seeing that image last night was that it was one of my favorite renderings Dave has ever done, of any character. It's both a departure from his regular style and yet quintessentially Hopkins at the same time. Impressive coloring. Very nice work, Dave! Wing

Hmm ... and also, this might well stand as the last appearance Bryant will ever be making on these forums.

That looks pretty awesome. I might use part of that for an avatar later. Although, every time I look at it I cant help but think that his leg position is pretty awkward.

 Re: Forumite Book 2
It's been a while since there's been an update, but I got an update. Just before Dave had his seizure attack I sent out a bunch of forumite book info to him. I'm sure he has it now and will get to it when he is in better health. In the meantime here is a roster of folks who will be seeing their character in the next update.
